Week 9 Report: The Witching Weeks
It is estimated that as many as 400,000 people died in the Colosseum during the 350 years during which it was used for human bloodsports and spectacles. As we enter week 10, we've got 3 teams facing certain death (Marvin's Room, Woppenheimer and Clam Linguine), 1 team cornered by lions (Doug Gimmedome), 3 teams looking to slay the giants (Catholic Church, TrustMePlease and Scarface), and finally: 3 gladiators at 7-2.
Zach took down Vinny in the Week 9 Matchup of the Week with a cunt hair victory of less than 2 points - his second of that fashion this year. The magic man seems to have an endless supply of luck this year, and we'll see his team of destiny take on another worthy challenger in PPP in week 10. We also had yet another big time trade featuring Mike, as he secured Swift + for a '24 1st + (details in trade section) in a deal with Tim.

No surpise, our Matchup of the Week is Zach vs Chris. A big time matchup with big time implications. Lastly, Marvin's Room is the "I Better Not Win" matchup of the week. 🍀BOL🍀 to all Colosseum competitors in week 10.
Killian vs. Conlan | Conlan wins 101.4 to 63
Summary: Luckily for Conlan, a low-scoring week can't hurt you when you're playing one of the tank genies. The free win gave him an extra week to send death threats to the Raiders, so let's see if DA is involved going forward.
Nick vs. Tom | Nick wins 95 to 75.1
Summary: Same song and dance as the game above - a free contender win via the tank squad. Nick's lineup is coming together & once JJ is back he'll be a top contender. Nice to see Pay get an easy one after a rough streak of high scoring Ls.
Vinny vs. Zach | Zach wins 104.3 to 106.1
Summary: The biggest matchup of the year to date was a defensive battle. Just when you thought Zach may have lost the magic, he pulls another rabbit's foot out of his ass and rips another extremely close victory. The guy just has a way about him this year, and he'll get another chance to take out a contender in week 10 against PPP.
Mike vs. Chris | Chris wins 142 to 83.7
Summary: Chris has arguably had the hottest team in the league over the last few weeks, and he cruised to a sweat free victory here too. Mike has been putting together a more win focused roster than we've seen throughout the year, and it could be just in time to play spoiler to Nick.
Walt vs. Tim | Walt wins 108 to 95.6
Summary: A bit to close for comfort here, but another dub nonetheless for Walt as he joins Vinny and Zach at 7-2. He's been a top dawg all year, let's see if Waldo can secure a buy in the witching weeks.
